Minnesota’s epic way of giving, Give to the Max, is November 1-16. This year donations to Helping Paws support the Pearl Litter, nine Golden Retriever puppies born October 16. These puppies will go home with their foster home trainers and begin the training journey some time in December.
This year we also focus on serving our veterans with PTSD: All donations received on Veterans Day, November 11, will be directed to supporting and training service dogs for veterans with PTSD. To know more about all these dogs can do, please see a short video (see the photo link) of veterans talking about their life before and after the dogs stood by their sides.
Many hours of nurturing and training will help transform the Pearl Litter into hard-working, loving service dogs. In return, we commit to tracking the health and well-being of each dog throughout its lifetime, ensuring the best outcome we can for the people we serve and the dogs we love.
The dogs’ lifetime partners are not charged for the expenses of preparing a dog for service, a cost estimated at $30,000 per dog. Our generous donors make all this possible.
How Can You Help?
