Graduate Teams

We celebrate the placement of our service dogs!  Prior to placement, each person and service dog will go through an extensive matching process. This ensures that the dog has the skills necessary to meet the applicant's needs and that their "fit" feels correct.

After we match the pairs, the new teams spend a very intensive three weeks in training. The dogs and graduates get to know one another and learn how to work together. The graduation ceremony marks the end of the placement process but Helping Paws offers follow up support for the life of the service dog placement.
